We went to NASA's Johnson Space Center to test out MARS 2030 in partial gravity

Cool field trip: Last May, we took our MARS 2030 experience to the Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas and tested it with NASA’s ARGOS, a partial gravity simulator.

Strapped into the ARGOS equipment, VR headset on, and with MARS 2030 loaded up, we explored 40 square km of terrain in virtual reality all while experiencing the 3/8 gravity of the Red Planet.

This visit was all part of FMG Labs’s ongoing collaboration with NASA’s Hybrid Reality Lab. The Lab is focused on developing mixed reality simulation environments that one day will allow astronauts to train in the same conditions as operating in space or on other planets.
